At BEAT ACADEMY, the school for DJing and music production in Dortmund, all music genres come together. Since 2005, we’ve been teaching our students how to DJ and showing them how to build their own beats!

In our DJ and production courses, our teachers offer a balanced mix of practice and theory, drawing on their own many years of experience as DJs in clubs, at festivals, and on the radio, and they share their experience from the music industry with our students. Whether in personal one-on-one coaching or popular group coaching, together we work on tracks, sets, and careers!

No matter if you want to be prepared for clubs or festivals, play events like birthdays and weddings, or simply want to find a new hobby that’s fun, we support you in your development. Whether you produce music for yourself, are looking to get released on labels, or want to perform as a live act, BEAT ACADEMY will help you.

We are constantly developing our concepts and also take current trends and new technical features into account in our lessons. Live remixing, scratching, cue play, and other unconventional techniques are just as much a part of the program as library management, social media tips, and help with applying to labels and clubs.

Lessons take place either on a regular schedule or at flexibly arranged times, and can be held on-site in our teaching rooms in Dortmund or online. Lessons in English are also available.
